About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and support students’ continued musical development and enjoyment while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also supports customer service and builds lasting relationships with students and families through regular communication about student goals and progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
- Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or parents frequently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
