About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and ensure that students continue to develop and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes supporting customer service as needed and building lasting relationships with students and their families.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and value parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share each student’s progress and goals regularly with the student and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
