About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role works to increase student count and help each student continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Teachers are expected to provide an excellent Customer experience and contribute to the store’s lessons program and customer service as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and value parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Communicate each student’s progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
