About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role helps grow student enrollment and supports students’ ongoing musical development and enjoyment while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The Music Teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students, provides a positive Customer experience, and communicates regularly with students and families about progress and goals. The role may also assist with Customer service and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.
- Share students’ goals and progress regularly with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
