About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's musical growth and enjoyment. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and includes providing customer service as needed. You will communicate regularly with students and families about progress and goals and build trusting relationships with them.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents' knowledge of their child.
- Communicate student progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
