About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides excellent customer experiences.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the applicant will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress and share student or parent goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
