About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and calls for a Customer First mindset and a strong customer experience. You will work with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships. You will communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress and goals to the student and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
