About The Position

Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is seeking a full-time Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at St. Martin of Tours. The Specials teacher should have a strong understanding of evidence-based age-appropriate curriculum and instructional strategies, enthusiasm for innovative practices, willingness to participate as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, and possess the ability to adapt activities to incorporate the diverse strengths of students. The successful candidate will model outstanding character, set high behavioral and academic expectations, implement effective classroom management, deliver engaging lessons, communicate with parents, and be a committed lifelong learner.

Requirements

High School Degree (required)
Clearances on all required background checks (required)
Content aptitude and a passion for education.
A track record of leading students to successfully achieve academic and behavioral expectations.

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching or working with children in an educational setting (preferred).
