About The Position

Pinnacles Prep is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher who believes that all students, regardless of background, deserve a meaningful education. The curriculum is rooted in 9-week, place-based interdisciplinary projects connected to the Wenatchee Valley and community partners, applying learning from foundational courses.

Responsibilities

  • Daily instruction of students for 2 periods (1 middle school, 1 high school).
  • Embody the mission and vision of the school.
  • Teach, re-teach, and enforce school-wide systems, routines, and procedures.
  • Provide engaging, motivating, and rigorous instruction in whole-class and individual settings.
  • Communicate regularly and proactively with students and families.
  • Provide weekly feedback for students that reflects mastery on learning targets, standards, and competencies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and actively participate in all professional learning activities.
  • Continuously improve effectiveness in instructional practices and incorporate weekly feedback from principal observations.
  • Use feedback to make productive changes in performance.
  • Participate in additional activities including field trips, intensive academic support sessions, and other required programs such as parent empowerment workshops.
  • Be open to feedback, continue professional development, and take responsibility for student outcomes and achievement.
  • Teach Middle School Ukulele and general music for High School.
  • Work with students on plays, concerts, and other events that include music.
  • Teach students how to read music.
  • Work with students on music-related projects and support students' musical passion projects.
