About The Position

The Music Librarian position is a student hourly role at the Universities of Wisconsin, specifically UW-Stevens Point. This role involves assisting Ensemble Director(s) with the management of sheet music and folders, including assigning, distributing, collecting, and re-cataloging pieces into the Music Library Database. The librarian will also be responsible for cataloging new music and maintaining the database and library supplies. Requirements

• Needs to be an accepted Music Major or Minor.
• Needs to be enrolled in the ensemble you are librarian for, unless approved by the ensemble director.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ensemble Director(s) with assigning and distributing sheet music and folders.
• Collect folders and sheet music after concerts, and re-catalogue each piece into the Music Library Database.
• Catalogue new pieces of music in the Music Library Database.
• Maintain the Library Database as needed, and keep stock of Library Supplies.
