Music Instructor - After-School Enrichment Courses
About The Position
Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking passionate instructors to join their team and offer exciting content in local schools and communities. BAM! provides students with year-round opportunities to grow and explore their interests through innovative STEM, Arts, and Sports enrichment programs. Their mission is to equip kids with the tools to thrive through quality enrichment programs, sports programs, or guided recess. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching and looking to build experience in an engaging and supportive setting, where they can impart their musical knowledge to young, eager minds.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in music related subject areas (Soundtrap, Music and Movement), with a strong passion for sharing your expertise with youth.
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is highly encouraged).
- Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire students through various music-related subjects such as Soundtrap and Music and Movement, expanding their imaginations and skill sets.
- Educate students on the basics to advanced levels of music, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace.
- Create a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere, instilling valuable lessons in teamwork and creativity.
