Youth Music Project (YMP) is seeking passionate and skilled musicians who are also experienced teachers to join their organization as Substitute Music Instructors. YMP is dedicated to providing high-quality rock, pop, and country music education to youth, with a strong emphasis on accessibility through tuition assistance and instrument rentals. The organization believes in the transformative power of music for all children, regardless of their family's financial situation. YMP serves thousands of children annually through various programs including after-school classes, private lessons, early childhood classes, field trips, partnerships, and summer camps. A significant portion of their enrollments are supported by a donor-funded tuition assistance program. YMP is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages critical thinking, deep listening, and the inclusion of all voices and perspectives. They actively work towards ensuring a diverse community of students, staff, and board members, and continuously evaluate their efforts to increase diversity at all levels. The organization emphasizes a practice-oriented approach, encouraging vulnerability, mutual accountability, support, and teaching within the team. They view equity as the harmonization of different perspectives, akin to a musical chord, and are committed to welcoming and celebrating diverse contributions.
