The MUSiC Equipment Engineer will be primarily responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, monitoring, evaluation & qualification, as well as procurement of new and used semiconductor fabrication equipment. This position supports production and research operations at a silicon carbide semiconductor fabrication facility. Duties include interaction with semiconductor equipment manufacturers as well as equipment third party vendors. The position will establish close contact with specialty field service engineers to commission and maintain fabrication tools. This position will ensure that the equipment functions safely and reliably within the various fabrication process modules. The position will assist with the integration of fabrication equipment into the MUSiC process workflow at state-of-the-art research facility at the University of Arkansas. The position must work across multiple process modules including but not limited to photolithography, thin film deposition (CVPD and PECVD), oxidation, activation, testing & metrology, wet process, epitaxial growth, Plasma etch, metal deposition, ion implantation, and process support utilities/facilities. This position will answer directly to the MUSiC Facilities Manager. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others at an academic/industrial setting.
