About The Position

The Music Director will lead a music worship team for the Protestant Community (PC) at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC. This role is crucial for promoting healthy spiritual growth and strengthening military readiness through music. The director will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a volunteer team, selecting and preparing music across various styles, coordinating rehearsals, and planning music for special events. Additionally, the role involves maintaining chapel audio-visual systems and ensuring the security and upkeep of music equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience leading worship music teams in churches.
• Proficient in reading and playing sheet music.
• Ability to play piano at a professional level and sing simultaneously.
• Experience in directing choirs and volunteer music teams.
• Proficiency in various styles of Christian worship music.
• Physical capability to handle and transport music equipment.
• Capability to train volunteers.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to play additional instruments (e.g., guitar, bass, percussion).
