About The Position

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking well-rounded, diagnostic radiologists (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank) to join our rapidly expanding academic imaging team. The academic practice has a long-standing, collegial relationship with the nearby Veterans Administration hospital and the primary responsibility of the successful applicant will be to provide general diagnostic imaging coverage for this site. This is an engaging community radiology work with diverse and academically stimulating case mix. Reasonable daily imaging volumes of 80-120 total cases (30-40 CTs/MRIs). Work with a dedicated team of fellowship-trained radiologists, nurses, and specialized technologists to provide integrated, patient-centered care. No IR procedures, PET/nuclear medicine, or mammography required for this opportunity. The largest health system and private employer in West Virginia, with 25 hospitals and 18,000+ employees. J.W. Requirements

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), board certified/eligible in Radiology.
• Eligible for West Virginia medical licensure.
• Well-rounded diagnostic radiology skillset, including basic fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Provide general diagnostic imaging coverage for the Veterans Administration hospital.
• Teach residents and medical students as part of the diagnostic radiology residency program.
