About The Position

Boeing is seeking a Payload IPT Senior Manager to lead the Satellite Payload Integrated Product Team supporting the MUOS SLE program within Space Communication Programs. This position is responsible for providing technical, programmatic, and personnel leadership for payload development, integration, test, and delivery activities in support of mission requirements and customer commitments. This role requires strong leadership in cost, schedule, and technical performance management, along with demonstrated experience in satellite payload execution and military space communications programs. The selected candidate will lead both direct and matrixed employees and serve as a key focal point for cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, contracts, and program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or Higher
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role in a matrix organization
  • 5+ years of experience in project/program management
  • Experience in space programs/communication payload design, production & delivery
  • Active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Satellite Payload IPT in support of the MUOS SLE program.
  • Manage direct and matrixed employees across multiple functional disciplines.
  • Provide leadership for payload development, integration, test, verification, and delivery activities.
  • Coordinate execution across systems engineering, hardware engineering, software/firmware, manufacturing, test, quality, supply chain, contracts, and program management.
  • Establish and maintain payload execution plans, schedules, technical milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned scope.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate/capture risks, issues, and opportunities affecting program execution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as required to support program objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Boeing processes, quality requirements, contractual obligations, and customer expectations.
  • Prepare and present status updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans to program leadership and stakeholders.
