About The Position

The Municipal Worker 1 performs a variety of parks and open-space maintenance, including all activities associated with turf, tree, flower and shrub bed maintenance, throughout the City of Lloydminster, in a safe and efficient manner. Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 1 will participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Other relevant duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator’s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver’s abstract.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Applicants must be attending a post-secondary program including: college or university during the last school term and returning to studies in the subsequent academic year.
• Satisfactory criminal record check prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers and string trimmers will be considered an asset.
