About The Position
The Municipal Services Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of municipal services vehicles in order to ensure the timely delivery of various municipal services to its customers. This permanent, full-time position requires reliability and punctuality. This position involves working in some areas with obnoxious odors caused by sewage/waste.
Requirements
- Sufficient education/training to enable the employee to follow instructions (Equivalent to Grade 10)
- Willingness to work weekends and extra hours to complete delivery schedules
- Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement
- Ability to follow instructions, perform duties safely and quickly
- Ability to work under time constraints and within a team atmosphere
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check are required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment
- Previous experience working in a Municipality
