As a result of our continued growth, Mead & Hunt has an exciting opportunity available for a Municipal Engineer to join a team where you'll design infrastructure, interact with clients, and progressively take ownership of projects in our Madison, WI area office.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • At least one year of relevant municipal engineering experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Can work well both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Civil 3D
  • Design of stormwater/drainage systems
  • Design of drinking water and/or sewer systems
  • Construction administration/observation
  • Preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects (emphasis on water resources projects)
  • Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software
  • EIT certification

Responsibilities

  • Assist with roadway design, site development design, and grading plans
  • Assist with utility design, including potable water, wastewater, and stormwater.
  • Hydraulic / hydrologic modeling
  • Collaborating with project managers and senior engineers
  • Supporting preparation of reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specifications, design plans, studies, plan production, and permits
  • Construction inspection/observation
  • Some local travel will be required
