As a result of our continued growth, Mead & Hunt has an exciting opportunity available for a Municipal Engineer to join a team where you'll design infrastructure, interact with clients, and progressively take ownership of projects in our Madison, WI area office.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- At least one year of relevant municipal engineering experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with Civil 3D
- Design of stormwater/drainage systems
- Design of drinking water and/or sewer systems
- Construction administration/observation
- Preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects (emphasis on water resources projects)
- Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software
- EIT certification
Responsibilities
- Assist with roadway design, site development design, and grading plans
- Assist with utility design, including potable water, wastewater, and stormwater.
- Hydraulic / hydrologic modeling
- Collaborating with project managers and senior engineers
- Supporting preparation of reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specifications, design plans, studies, plan production, and permits
- Construction inspection/observation
- Some local travel will be required
