RETTEW is seeking an experienced Municipal Project Manager to lead municipal engineering projects while serving as a trusted representative for municipal clients. Work Environment Workplace Designation: Hybrid Location: Lancaster, PA This role includes regular interaction with municipal clients, project teams, developers, consultants, contractors, and public stakeholders. Attendance at evening municipal meetings, planning commissions, and public hearings is expected. Safety & Compliance Requirements This position is designated as safety-sensitive. The selected candidate must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, which may include background checks, drug testing, and motor vehicle record review, where applicable. This role may involve field-based work, site visits, and operation of company vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes. Ongoing compliance with RETTEW’s safety policies, client-specific safety requirements, and all applicable regulatory standards is required. Position Summary / What You’ll Do As a Municipal Project Manager with municipal client ownership responsibilities, you will serve as both a project leader and a municipal representative. You will manage municipal engineering projects while reviewing engineering plans prepared by outside firms to ensure compliance with municipal standards, ordinances, and regulatory requirements. This role matters because municipalities rely on trusted technical advisors to help guide development decisions, maintain infrastructure integrity, and protect long-term community interests.
