About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Municipal/Civil EIT for their Calgary Office, AB. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in civil engineering, civil technology, and construction management principles, with a focus on the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. This role requires strong teamwork, effective communication with team members and clients, a high level of initiative, motivation, drive, energy, and enthusiasm. The position will support the delivery of infrastructure projects, primarily in the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.

Requirements

Registered as EIT (or ability to do so within 6 months)
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, and contract administration.
Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineer with the design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater/drainage conveyance facilities.
Perform construction inspections.
Perform construction contract administration.
Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
Prepare construction cost estimates.
Assist in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents.
Assist with proposal preparation.
Assist with contract preparation and negotiation.
Assist with coordination with regulatory agencies.
