About The Position

AECOM is searching for a Municipal/Civil EIT to be based in our Calgary Office, AB office. The appropriately qualified candidate will have knowledge and experience in civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and be familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. They will have a high level of initiative, and motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. They will be expected to support the delivery of infrastructure projects to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector.

Requirements

Registered as EIT (or ability to do so within 6 months)
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, and contract administration.
Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineer with a design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilities.
Perform construction inspections,
Perform construction contract administration.
Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
Prepare construction cost estimates.
Assist in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents.
Assistance with proposal preparation; contract preparation and negotiation and coordination with regulatory agencies.
