About The Position

We’re looking for a mid-senior developer with the advanced skills needed to diagnose and fix issues affecting VistA Scheduling products for our Veterans Affairs client. This role is more than just coding. We need a MUMPS developer who will use their passion, experience, and techniques to identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using Agile life cycle development, you’ll build and repair health and clinical applications for VA. You’ll analyze the user needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with MUMPS software development
  • 3+ years of experience working with VA VistA
  • 3+ years of experience working with VA VistA Scheduling packages
  • Experience using VA FileMan
  • Knowledge of upstream and downstream dependencies on VA VistA Scheduling packages and modernized Scheduling applications
  • Knowledge of design or architectural patterns and architecture styles and APIs
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with an understanding of all dependencies.
  • Ability to understand front-end users' requirements and communicate with front-end users to replicate their issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Associate's degree in computer science
