About The Position

National Counseling Group is seeking a Multisystemic Therapist (MST) to provide Home-Based and Community services in Virginia. The MST Professional will conduct in-home and community-based sessions, perform assessments of family strengths and needs, and develop and implement treatment plans following MST standards. The role involves empowering caregivers to independently address challenges and support youth in navigating family, school, peer, and neighborhood issues. The therapist will manage a flexible schedule tailored to family needs, including school meetings and court hearings. This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role and is not intended to include every duty or responsibility that may be required of employees in this position.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • Must be registered with the Department of Health Professionals as Licensed Eligible (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home and community-based sessions.
  • Perform assessments of family strengths and needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans following MST standards.
  • Empower caregivers to independently address challenges and support youth in navigating family, school, peer, and neighborhood issues.
  • Manage a flexible schedule tailored to family needs, including school meetings and court hearings.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level).
