About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Multiskilled Technician to join their Weekend team in Sanford, NC. The typical work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 AM to 6:30 PM, with hours potentially varying based on business demand. Weekday hours may also be scheduled to support the 24/7 operation. Multiskilled Technicians are responsible for providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. This includes performing all aspects of maintenance on industrial systems such as CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and coolant systems. The role involves working alongside other skilled technicians, communicating effectively with site management and the customer to understand requirements, solve electrical and mechanical problems, and provide solutions to manufacturing issues. The technician will also identify and correct safety-related issues and perform equipment evaluations to predict potential failures.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and systems in an industrial setting or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

Performance of preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Respond to and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations.
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag out procedures and wearing PPE as required.
Prepare/complete assigned tasks in conformance with applicable procedure requirements provided by the supervisor.
Coordinates work with others in discipline groups on the project.
Responsible for neatness and accuracy of work.
May train other technicians.
May prepare formal reports on experiments, tests, and other projects.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to less experienced personnel.
Perform other tasks as requested by management.
