Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Postsecondary completion of CNA, PCT, CMA or EMT program (Required) Or Some college coursework in an accredited school of nursing to include completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing” (Required)
- Registered, Certified or Licensed in the state of practice as a CNA, PCT, CMA, or EMT (Required) Or Current enrollment in good standing in an accredited school of nursing (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
- Successful completion of Monitor Tech Course (Required)
- Ability to lift/move patients and equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards
Nice To Haves
- Certified EKG Technician (preferred)
- One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks, including hygiene support and monitoring vital signs
- Provide EKG and telemetry monitoring
- Assist with ambulation and feeding
- Document intake/output and abnormal findings
- Maintain unit cleanliness and complete clerical tasks
- Serve as a liaison with patient families and staff
