About The Position

Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities. Technologists must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologists must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
2+ years of multi-modality work experience.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Must obtain Advance Modality Registration within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

Schedule and perform complex specialized tasks associated with Multi-modality exams in a timely manner.
Maintain production and quality of images by following established standards and procedures.
Perform equipment quality checks and independently troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Provide exemplary patient care to ensure comfort and safety of patients within and outside of the department.
Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity with minimal supervision.
