About The Position

The Multi-modality position applies in all locations where Imaging Services are provided: University Hospital, East Hospital, The James Cancer Hospital and OSUWMC Ambulatory Imaging locations. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist will be required to perform DR plain film x-ray and two or all the following modalities: MR, ULS, CT, CI, VI. Technologists will be required to provide patient education and quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager and/or Associate Director of Cardiovascular Services. At East Hospital the imaging technologist will work primarily as an interventional radiation technologist supporting two unique modalities: Interventional Cardiology (CI) and Interventional Radiology (VI). The position may require “floating” to the other departments to provide support for CI or VI.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography registered.
  • Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology License.
  • Minimum of one year experience in at least 2 advanced modalities (Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Vascular Intervention, Cardiac Intervention or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in General Abdomen US) or current advanced certifications (ULS, CT, MR, CI, VI) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform DR plain film x-ray and two or all of the following modalities: MR, ULS, CT, CI, VI.
  • Provide patient education.
  • Conduct quality assessment activities for the division.
  • Work primarily as an interventional radiation technologist supporting Interventional Cardiology (CI) and Interventional Radiology (VI) at East Hospital.
  • Float to other departments to provide support for CI or VI as needed.
