About The Position

The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Multimedia Specialist I in Boca Raton, FL. The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multimedia Specialist I to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Multimedia and Innovation, you will join a high-energy, collaborative team dedicated to producing high-quality online course content. From virtual production studio recordings to innovative AI-assisted post-production, your work will directly impact the learner's experience.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
  • A valid link to a professional portfolio must be included on your resume.
  • Final candidate will be required to have official, sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation, if applicable, sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
  • Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass all employment screenings prior to the start of employment. Employment screenings may include a criminal background check (level I and level II), motor vehicle check, credit check, reference checks, alcohol, and drug screening check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution in a relevant field of specialization.
  • At least 2 years of professional video production experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with cinema cameras, DSLRs, GoPro/360° cameras, and professional lighting/audio equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of video production, including pre-production planning, filming, and post-production editing for diverse multimedia projects.
  • Conduct on-location and studio recordings; manage the transportation, setup, and teardown of equipment.
  • Proactively research and implement generative AI tools (text-to-video, AI voiceovers, image generation) to streamline production timelines and enhance visual storytelling.
  • Troubleshooting computer hardware and video production tools to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and lead both live and pre-recorded training sessions for staff and faculty.
  • Manage content embedding, network share organization, and the processing of captions to ensure accessibility standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to conceptualize creative solutions for complex learning needs.
  • Remain adaptable to a fast-paced, frequently changing environment, taking on other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Provide expertise and consultation on multimedia best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to faculty and staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
