Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Proven broadcast journalism experience.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Digital/social media strategy execution with urgency.
- Sharp news judgment and unwavering ethics.
- Ability to carry 35-45 pounds of ENG equipment.
- Impeccable time management skills and ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Integrity, accountability, and a team-player attitude.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work various schedules.
Responsibilities
- Report, shoot, write, voice, and edit daily news stories for both television and digital platforms.
- Anchor and produce dynamic newscasts as needed.
- Generate 3+ fresh story ideas daily.
- Cover breaking news live on location.
- Update website and social accounts throughout the day with urgency and immediacy.
- Build authentic relationships and deliver news that matters most to the local community.
- Collaborate with the news team.
- Adhere to the highest standards of news judgment, ethics, and station branding.
