About The Position

WXXV-TV is seeking a full-time Multimedia Journalist to join its news team in Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi. The role involves producing local news stories for television, digital, and social platforms, including shooting, writing, editing, and presenting reports. The journalist will also conduct live field reports, develop community sources, and cover breaking news, severe weather, and major events. Requirements

• Strong storytelling, writing, and reporting skills.
• Ability to shoot and edit video independently.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with social media and digital news platforms.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Applicants must pass DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Experience with ENPS newsroom computer systems is preferred but not required.
• Experience with non-linear editing systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Edius is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.
