About The Position
KRCR is looking for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to join the #1 News Leader in beautiful Chico/Redding, California! We are seeking a curious, driven and creative candidate who is eager to tell impactful stories that matter. The ideal candidate thinks outside the box and elevates their storytelling with compelling visuals and enhanced content on our digital and social platforms. Requirements
- Sharp news judgment
- Solid writing & technical skills
- Good communication skills
- Social Media expertise
- Ability to think critically, problem solve, and work well independently
- Experience with live shots is required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Applications without a demo reel will not be considered
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Live-U is a plus
- A minimum of 1 year of reporting experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered
Responsibilities
- Research, shoot, write and edit daily content for various platforms in a manner that is clear and engaging to news consumers
- Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts to generate interesting and relatable stories
