About The Position

WILX-TV in Lansing, MI, is searching for an experienced MMJ for our Lifestyle Show. The style of the show is segment and interview-based, highlighting events and unique storytelling here in Mid-Michigan. The skill set we are looking for requires strong ad-libbing and interview skills. At least 2-3 years of experience in the air is preferred. Familiarity with ENPS, Adobe Premiere Editing System, and camera gear.

Requirements

Proven experience as an on-air personality or host to act as back-up or for interviews
Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
Must be energetic, positive, and great in a team environment
Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
Excellent communication, organizational skills, and creativity
At least 2-3 years of experience in the air is preferred.
Familiarity with ENPS, Adobe Premiere Editing System, and camera gear.

Responsibilities

Assisting Producer with writing show segments
Shooting and editing segments
Interviewing show guests/clients both in-studio and on location when needed
Collecting information, video, or photos at remote locations for post-production
Greeting and assisting guests during show preparations.
Pitching story ideas for the show
Researching show topics and developing questions for guests in coordination with the Producer
Participating in events –either station-sponsored or others – to promote the show
Maintaining a strong social media account and assisting with all online content for the website/social media
Continuously provide feedback on how the show can be better, take it to the next level
Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director
