About The Position

The Multimedia Communications Specialist is responsible for leading Singing River Health System’s public relations and media relations efforts while driving compelling content creation across multiple channels. Reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy, this role strengthens the organization’s reputation and brand presence through strategic communications, storytelling, and creative multimedia content. This role requires travel to different hospital/clinic locations to coordinate video content and media opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Multimedia Production or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in public relations and media relations, including writing press releases, media advisories, and cultivating media partnerships.
  • Proven experience in storytelling and content creation through both written and video formats.
  • Demonstrated skills in multimedia production and editing for digital platforms.
  • Experience contributing to advertising concept development and collaborating with creative teams.
  • Managing projects and coordinating with external vendors such as videographers and agencies.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
  • Strong executive presence and gravitas with impactful presentation skills.
  • Ability to function independently, adapt to workload demands, set priorities, and understand and set goals.
  • Highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • Experience in writing press releases, marketing presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to achieve results by conveying a positive image and building positive relationships.
  • Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
