About The Position

Akima Global Technology is looking for a Multimedia and Printers Technician to work at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. This role involves installing, performing repairs, and executing maintenance on various multimedia and printing equipment, as well as providing customer support and documentation.

Requirements

  • Possess & maintain Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification as required by Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1303, Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, and DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Install, perform remedial repairs, and execute scheduled preventative hardware and software maintenance on multimedia equipment including Sony Analog / Digital Video Editing Equipment, Audio Visual Technical Support (projectors, screens, TV's), Audio/Video Editing Stations, Video Teleconferencing Systems and Crestron control systems.
  • Install, perform remedial repairs, and execute scheduled preventative hardware and software maintenance on audio equipment such as Crown, Biamp, Klipch, Atlas, Evi, TOA, Sony speaker systems, Audio Technica and Sennheiser microphones, portable audio, and public address systems.
  • Utilize the NASIC trouble ticket tracking system to document, track, and account for all work performed.
  • Monitor the daily event logs for hardware failure.
  • Install OEM firmware, software updates, and patches for the control system and AV switching routing.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for televisions experiencing issues receiving or displaying the base-provided cable television service.
  • Provide installation and integration of cabling, amplifiers, equalizers, taps and splitters.
  • Assist the Government Task Manager in updating architectural diagrams and documentation of all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidance.
  • Provide inventory and accountability support for all IPCIII conference rooms in accordance with DAFMAN 17-1203 with minimal supervision.
  • Provide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned for next month and important issues occurring during the month.
  • Follow and contribute to all local SOPs and related knowledge management documentation in accordance with NASIC guidance.
  • Provide customer-oriented support to diagnose, resolve, and maintain printers, multi-function devices (MFDs), plotters, 3D printers, and flatbed scanners.
