This position is for a Multilingual Learner Teacher at Miller Jr. High for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves fostering an educational environment conducive to the learning and maturation process of assigned multilingual learners. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing instructional programs designed to meet individual and group student needs, utilizing appropriate English Language Development (ELD) instructional methods and materials, and integrating technology into the curriculum. The teacher will also be responsible for developing and facilitating ELD professional development for school-based leadership teams and other stakeholders, and supporting school communities in the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve learning and performance for English Language Learner (ELL) students. Collaboration with administration and staff to develop and implement effective ELD instructional programs and activities is essential. The role requires attending in-service training and engaging in continuous professional growth. Establishing and implementing positive classroom policies, providing guidance and individualized support to students to meet achievement standards and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPA), and communicating regularly with students, parents, and staff are also critical. The teacher will evaluate and record student progress, prepare and maintain required records and reports, collect and interpret data, and provide reports for administrative purposes. Additionally, the position involves directing the activities of assigned classified personnel and volunteers, participating in all required staff meetings and district activities, and engaging in site-based decision-making processes.
