This position provides students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the assigned core academic subject area to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The specialist will enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. A key part of the role is to support the instructional needs of English Learners (EL) and any campus staff working with ELs. The role is responsible for all necessary reports, documents, training, and processes according to the LPAC manual for identification, placement, monitoring, and reclassification of ELs, and serves as an advocate for EL students in all capacities within the school, district, and community.
