About The Position

UrbanCore is seeking a Multifamily Construction Superintendent to own the field and set the standard for building projects. This role is for experienced individuals who can run a jobsite within a supportive system that emphasizes planning and discipline over chaos. The goal is to build better projects, create flexibility through discipline, protect time and energy, and deliver consistent results. The Superintendent is accountable for the project from preconstruction turnover through final closeout, including schedule, safety culture, installation quality, and trade standards. This role requires calm, disciplined leadership and proactive path-clearing rather than reactive work chasing.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of commercial construction experience
  • Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Plan knowledge and navigation skills
  • Experience maintaining accurate project documentation
  • Knowledgeable on safety standards to maintain project safety
  • Experience with site management and leading projects
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and train team members and trade partners
  • Experience creating look-ahead schedules and closeouts

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Manage & Hold Accountable: Set clear expectations, mentor Assistant Superintendent, develop foremen and trades, address issues directly, and hold trade partners accountable for safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Project Startup & Planning: Own startup tasks including turnover, checklists, logistics plan, and project visuals. Build the milestone schedule from the contract baseline. Lead constructability reviews and integrate requirements into the plan.
  • Safety & Compliance: Own the safety standard, walk the site daily, address unsafe conditions immediately, maintain audit-ready documentation, orientations, and job boards, and ensure full OSHA readiness. Model safe behavior.
  • Production Planning & Operational Excellence: Build and maintain the schedule using pull planning and takt planning. Lead Trade Partner Tacticals, Preinstall Meetings, and 1st Walks. Ensure daily huddles, zone walks, and logs occur consistently.
  • Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct thorough site walks to identify and address issues. Own inspections, permits, and TCO/CO. Define and enforce cleanliness and organization standards for all trades.
