About The Position

Thompson Thrift's 12-week Stadlership: A Thompson Thrift Internship Experience offers students hands-on experience in multifamily construction. Opportunities are available across Thompson Thrift’s offices and multifamily construction projects nationwide. Interns will contribute to real projects, learn from experienced professionals, connect with senior leadership, and explore career paths within the construction industry. Internship areas may include Accounting, Field Operations, Project Management/Office Operations, Preconstruction, Safety, and Warranty.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree relevant to their internship area
Strong communicators and collaborative team members
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
Interested in gaining meaningful, hands-on industry experience

Responsibilities

Construction financial reporting, project budgets, expenditures, invoices, lien waivers, accounting entries, financial analysis, and weekly reporting (Accounting).
Job site safety, scheduling, quality control, material deliveries, subcontractor coordination, punch lists, site documentation, and construction progress tracking (Field Operations).
RFIs, subcontracts, purchase orders, submittments, change orders, project meetings, cost accounting, inspections, project documentation, and closeout (Project Management/Office Operations).
Construction estimating, blueprint analysis, budgets, subcontractor solicitation and selection, cost analysis, buyout, and project planning (Preconstruction).
Job site inspections, OSHA documentation, safety training, compliance, safety plans, and job site safety resources (Safety).
Warranty work orders, repair coordination, communication with property teams and subcontractors, quality assurance, and trend analysis (Warranty).
