About The Position

The Multicraft Technician is responsible for diagnosing and rectifying technical maintenance issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving deficiencies with mechanical, pneumatic, sensors, control systems, and I/O devices. This role involves performing root cause analysis and equipment investigations to return systems to OEM standards. The technician will also be responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of dosage equipment, coordinating with production for line downtime, and providing technical support on all equipment. A key aspect of this role is identifying and correcting reliability and performance issues, maintaining Assembly Lines to ensure production efficiency, and managing inventory control of spare parts. The technician will also be involved in project development and the execution of scheduled maintenance, focusing on overall equipment efficiency, including cycle times and scrap rates. Reading electrical drawings and performing electrical/electronic/automation/mechanical troubleshooting are essential. The role requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, promotion of teamwork, and maintaining a safe work environment through proper use of safety equipment and procedures like Lock Out Tag Out. Additionally, the technician may be required to conduct training as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on core machine functionality. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Electronics / Mechatronics / Industrial Technology professional or equivalent military or industrial experience.
  • 3-7 years of industrial maintenance experience preferably in high speed automated systems.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex systems and data to identify potential reliability issues.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify the root causes of problems and develop effective solutions that meet OEM standards.
  • Communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail: Crucial for identifying potential reliability issues and ensuring the accuracy of work.
  • Ownership: Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions, and execute professional solutions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with heavier weights.
  • Must have appropriate vision to read schematics and blue prints, additionally to perform detailed machine and quality inspections.
  • Must be able to perform duties in limited spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and rectify technical maintenance issues, troubleshoot problems, and resolve deficiencies with mechanical, pneumatic, sensors, control systems, and I/O devices.
  • Perform root cause analysis and equipment investigations to return systems to OEM standards.
  • Conduct maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks for dosage equipment.
  • Coordinate with production regarding downtime/stoppages of assembly lines for repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support on all equipment and identify reliability and performance issues for correction.
  • Maintain and repair Assembly Lines to ensure production efficiency to meet established goals and acceptable Quality of Product standards.
  • Manage inventory control of spare parts, project development, and execution of scheduled maintenance.
  • Focus on overall equipment efficiency, including cycle times and scrap rate.
  • Read electrical drawings and perform electrical/electronic/automation/mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment and work relationship with others.
  • Promote a safe work environment by utilizing proper safety equipment and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out and other safety/quality processes.
  • Conduct training as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on core machine mechanical, pneumatic and operational functionality.
