About The Position

Eyemart Express, a leading optical company with nearly 30 years of experience, is seeking a strong optical leader with at least 5 years of retail OPTICAL management experience to drive growth and enhance customer service. The company is rapidly expanding to over 200 stores nationwide and offers full-service labs in every location. This role is ideal for individuals with the drive, talent, and leadership experience to bring teams together and exceed goals. The Multi-Store General Manager will ensure professional customer assistance with eyewear purchases, manage operations across multiple stores, and enforce company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include sales, customer service, lab work, administrative tasks, inventory control, reporting, budget management, human resource functions, P&L control, A/R control, facility maintenance, and maintaining positive doctor relationships.

Requirements

At least 5 years of retail OPTICAL management experience.
Experience working in the optical industry is required.
Experience working in retail, customer service or sales.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day per scheduled shift).
Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to approximately 45 lbs.
Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Ability to operate basic office equipment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to correctly read and interpret prescription specifications.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to identify and solve problems, and facilitate problem-solving.
Must possess time management skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports.

Responsibilities

Ensure professional customer assistance with the purchase of eyewear.
Apply equal time to each location in a given month.
Enforce all Eyemart policies and procedures.
Perform sales, customer service, lab, and administrative work.
Order materials and supplies.
Manage inventory control.
Complete home office reporting.
Establish and monitor lab production, store sales, and quality goals.
Establish store budgets and cost controls.
Perform human resource functions including recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, and termination.
Control P&L and A/R.
Oversee store facility maintenance.
Establish and maintain positive doctor relationships.
Ensure a manager or designated lead associate is on duty in the store at all times.
Adjust work schedule to manage competing priorities and maintain a visible and accessible presence in each location weekly.
Manage daily operations of multiple stores by staying in constant contact with management and lead teams.
Meet all Eyemart standards including sales production, pricing, inventory control, approval of expenditures, doctor's office production, lab production, and A/R collections.
Ensure all employees use the "lifestyle" selling approach and explain product features and benefits.
Train all staff to greet customers promptly and begin assisting them within 2 minutes.
Develop leadership talent to supply future growth.
Maintain store sales goals for multiple locations at or above company standards.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with ODs to foster exemplary patient relationships.
Ensure proper workflow in the store's lab.
Ensure total patient satisfaction and resolve patient complaints.
Establish and monitor store budget.
Establish and maintain the accuracy of all corporate reporting.
Act as Eyemart's ambassador by following and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
Train employees to follow OSHA and safety requirements.
Ensure that all collection policies and procedures are maintained.
Ensure that a quality medical/retail environment is maintained.
Manage receiving stock, maintaining proper merchandising, monthly inventory, and following proper remake procedures.
