About The Position

Seton Catholic Schools is seeking a part-time Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Teacher for the 26-27 school year at St. Thomas Aquinas Academy in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves providing targeted instructional interventions in reading and/or math for K-8 students. The MTSS Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and network staff to create and implement intervention plans tailored to diverse student needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software for assessment and instruction.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Reading, or a related field.
  • Experience with MTSS processes and implementing academic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening assessments to identify students needing additional academic support.
  • Analyze assessment and classroom performance data to determine specific student needs.
  • Monitor student progress through frequent formative assessments and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on specific student needs in collaboration with the academic team.
  • Provide direct instruction to small groups or individual students in reading, mathematics, and other core subjects.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate interventions into the regular classroom setting.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, network staff, and school administrators to support student learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and home-based learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, intervention plans, and assessment data.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in MTSS and instructional interventions.
  • Participate in and lead professional development opportunities related to MTSS and differentiated instruction for teachers.
