About The Position

SURTECO specializes in the production and sale of laminates, foils and vinyl-coated fabrics. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

Requirements

• Team Leader Skills
• Complete Forklift Certification if required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 2-year technical degree
• One to three years rotogravure press experience

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules
• Actively participate in SHE program
• Use SAP accounting system for all press confirmations and production labeling
• Operate rotogravure press
• Operate ink spec viscosity control systems
• Operate registration controls
• Camera setup, defect tracking and report out
• Give direction to Second Operator and Production Helper
• Thread paper/film through press
• Adjust blades
• Gather proper raw materials.
• Assure and maintain proper raw material levels.
• Set register
• Watch product for defects in web
• Assist Color Match and QC to ensure the delivery of a quality product
• Troubleshoot production issues
• Adjust press settings based on production run
• Install and remove cylinders
• Adjust ink amounts for proper color matching
• Complete log sheet
• Direct Second Operator and Production Helper to make ready next order materials
• Inspect rolls of finished product for defect
• Responsible to make sure press is always clean
• Other duties as assigned
• Available to work OT/weekends as needed
