About The Position

i9 Sports is looking for a high-energy Multi-Sport Instructor to lead our weekend programs. This isn’t just about blowing a whistle; you are there to be a mentor and a role model. You’ll be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game in a way that is fun, fair, and encouraging for our youngest athletes. Our programs rotate seasonally to use the best facilities in the area. This position covers our North Cluster, including: Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Ontario, Chino Hills, Eastvale, and Jurupa Valley. Assignment locations vary by season. Reliable transportation to all cities in this cluster is required.

Requirements

  • You must be patient, engaging, and genuinely enjoy working with younger children (ages 3–8).
  • At least 2 years of experience playing or coaching Soccer, Football, and Baseball.
  • Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday shifts consistently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle for travel within the cluster.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the field for the duration of the games.
  • Must pass a mandatory National Criminal Background Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Basketball and Volleyball experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Use an inviting, high-energy mindset to keep 3–8 year olds focused and excited.
  • Teach drills and fundamentals for Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of equipment.
  • Keep time, manage the score, and adjust your coaching style to fit the age group on the field.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with parents and coaches to ensure a great experience for every family.
