About The Position

The Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, UT is looking for a Multi-Sport Instructor to introduce kids to ice sports, both at the Oval and in their own schools. If you have a background in figure skating, hockey, or speed skating and enjoy teaching others, this role turns your experience into real impact for kids across the community. At the Utah Olympic Oval, you will help give inclusive, accessible programs that introduce kids to figure skating, hockey, and speed skating. Your team values collaboration, willingness to engage youth, and a passion for ice sports. Your daily work directly shapes participant satisfaction and retention, meaning the skills you teach today, whether at a school or on the ice, can spark a lifelong passion for the sport. Some days, you're at the Oval tying skates and teaching students the fundamentals of ice skating. Other days, you're at a local school with a bag of equipment, introducing kids to skates, sticks, and pads for the first time. You keep students engaged and active in both settings, and you're always ready to talk with them about continuing through the Oval's "Learn To" programs. Every lesson gives a kid their first real experience with ice sports and plants the seed for something they could carry for years. You want to be part of a team that values Community and Collaboration, meeting kids where they are, whether that's a school gym or the ice itself. You bring Grit to every session, adapting on the fly for each group and setting. You take pride in the Excellence you bring to working in the community, and you see the Impact you have on a student's confidence long after the lesson ends. If you're a skater looking for a flexible, rewarding role that fits around school or family life, this is a great fit. You'll teach ice sports fundamentals at the Oval and in local schools, helping introduce kids to a sport that could shape the rest of their lives.
