About The Position
The Kilian Manufacturing team in Syracuse, New York is seeking a skilled Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator with hands-on experience running Davenport, Acme-Gridley, Brown & Sharpe, Schutte, or Tornos multi-spindle equipment. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience operating multi-spindle screw machines (Davenport, Acme-Gridley, Schütte, Tornos, or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of cam-driven machine operation
- Ability to perform minor setups and adjustments independently
- Familiarity with high-volume production environments
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities
- Operate, and troubleshoot multi-spindle automatic screw machines including Davenport and Acme-Gridley platforms
- Adjust cams, tooling, collets, feeds, speeds, and attachments to maintain optimal performance
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and process sheets
- Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with supervisors, setup technicians, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and production efficiency
