The Multi-Specialty Auditor will report to the Manager of AAPC Services with a direct line of communication to Project Leads. This is a remote contract position. Responsibilities will include auditing medical records across multiple specialties to validate clinical documentation supporting evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, diagnoses, and specialty-specific documentation requirements. The role involves identifying gaps and missed opportunities while meeting quality and production standards, and reviewing project guidelines to ensure deliverables are on-time and meet client-specific requirements. The auditor will research regulatory, payer, and specialty-specific guidelines, prepare audit summary findings with detailed comments and recommendations, and maintain production standards and quality metrics of 95% or greater. The position is responsible for maintaining department audit standards, advanced clinical documentation standards, protocols, and specialty-specific guidelines, and supporting team key performance indicators and goals (SLAs). Embracing workforce transformation involves continuous knowledge expansion and upskilling to support evolving organizational and client needs. Collaboration to identify opportunities for process improvement and supporting continuous enhancements to workflows and operations is also expected. The role includes preparing oral and/or written reports of audit activity and meeting with the Manager to review individual performance, mentoring, and succession planning.
