About The Position

Performs both vascular and general diagnostic Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric and adolescent patients. Performs vascular Ultrasound procedures under the direction of the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager. Preforms general Ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator. Must perform variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Requirements

• Require registration in Vascular Technology by either accrediting body: - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT) - Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS)
• Require registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and must hold at least one (1) of the following upon hire: - Abdomen (AB) - Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Both of the above registries must be obtained within one (1) year from hire.
• Require diploma from Ultrasound education program.
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• RDMS: Reg Diag Med Sonographer

Nice To Haves

• Prefer experience in both vascular and general ultrasound.
• Float position - required to float to several of our outpatient Ultrasound locations when needed.
