Multi Skilled Tech (MST) - MFM Clinic
About The Position
The Multi-Skilled Tech / HUC assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, turning, and feeding. The role provides basic patient care and helps maintain a safe, clean environment, including responding to call bells at the station and in patient rooms. These duties are performed under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the patients. When not assisting patients with activities of daily living, the Multi-Skilled Tech / HUC performs clerical and HUC duties, such as answering phones, entering orders, and providing general administrative support. The role also assumes other duties as assigned and supported by training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS for health care providers.
- Obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Prior basic experience performing clerical or customer service duties.
- Proficiency in MS Windows-based applications, primarily MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Ability to use computer-driven patient care equipment.
- Maintain and demonstrate appropriate skills and competencies associated with Certified Nursing Assistant and HUC duties.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers to and from the unit.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant course.
- Prior HUC training or experience in a clinical setting.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
