About The Position

Functions as a member of patient care team. Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit. Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients, according to their individual needs.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• MAB Certification required.
• High Medical terminology and transcription skills.
• Filing skills.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing assistant competency.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Clear, legible penmanship.
• Computer knowledgeable.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification preferred.
• Preferably, a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
• All documentation must be accurate, complete and legible.
• All hospital-required reports (i.e. MIDAS), must be completed within the shift of occurrence.
• Documentation - Accurately documents patient activities and assigned interventions (e.g., vital signs, weights, I&O).
• Documentation reflects time of occurrence.
